How to read the houses
The twelve houses of the natal chart divide the sky into sectors of lived experience. Planets that fall in a given house color the life sphere it governs. The sign on the house cusp and its ruler add further nuance to the interpretation.
Angular houses (I, IV, VII, X) — points of identity, home, partnership and calling. These are the most powerful positions in the chart. Succedent (II, V, VIII, XI) are linked to resources — material and inner. Cadent (III, VI, IX, XII) — spheres of learning, adaptation and inner work.
For a full understanding a house should be read alongside the sign on the cusp and the aspects of the planets within it. More context — in the knowledge base.
