Wetland
A land neither dry nor water — the patient, fertile in-between of two definite states.
A wetland in a dream is the dream's image of the patient, fertile in-between that refuses to be either dry land or open water. The wetland is where most of the small life actually happens; the productivity is in the mix. The dream brings the wetland when something in your life — an identity that is more than one thing, a phase between commitments, a creative project not yet categorised — is being held in a fertile, undefined condition that is producing more than either pure side would. A wetland respected for what it is is the dream affirming the value of the unresolved. A wetland drained to make it definite, with the small life killed by the decision, is the dream noting that the impatience for a single category cost more than the categorisation was worth.
