A walk-in closet in a dream is the dream's image of the inventory of selves you have at your disposal. Each garment is a version of you that can be put on — the work version, the going-out version, the comfortable version, the inherited version. The dream brings the closet when the question of which self you are wearing today is alive. An ordered closet is the dream telling you the available selves are visible to you and chosen with intent. A chaotic closet, or one where the right outfit cannot be found, is the dream noting that you have many versions of yourself in storage and cannot currently locate the one you need.
