Throat
The passage between the mouth and the chest — the channel through which voice and breath both pass.
A throat in a dream is the dream's image of the channel through which both voice and breath pass. The throat is what allows speech and what allows air; it is the narrow place that everything has to go through. The dream brings the throat when something in your life — a public statement, a piece of honesty that has to be said aloud, a song or speech being delivered — is passing through the part of the body where the interior becomes audible. A throat clear and steady is the dream affirming the open channel. A throat tightening, the voice unable to come out, is the dream noting that the channel has been closed by something the speaker cannot currently override, and the message is staying inside.
