Dry Sweat in dreams

Water released through the skin — the body cooling itself or signalling that the system is overworked.

Dry adds the matter-of-fact layer — the symbol stripped of emotional residue. The reading is more practical than the base, often the version of the situation you would explain in three sentences without colour.

Sweat in a dream is the dream's image of the body either cooling itself under load or signalling that it is currently being asked to do more than its normal rate. Sweat is honest; it tells the room what the body is doing. The dream brings sweat when something in your life — a confrontation, a piece of work, an embarrassment — has reached a level of effort or stress that the body is now showing on the surface. Sweat from honest work is the dream telling you the effort is appropriate and being absorbed. Cold sweat, or sweat that will not stop, is the dream marking that the body is now signalling distress, and the surface readout has outpaced what you would like other people to see.
