Lost suitcase
Travelling without the case you packed — the prepared self stranded somewhere you cannot reach.
A lost suitcase in a dream is the dream's image of the prepared self stranded out of reach. The case held what you were going to bring to the next place: the right clothes, the documents, the small private things that would have let you arrive as yourself. The dream brings the loss when something in your life — a move, a meeting, a new role — has begun without the resources you had assembled for it. A suitcase recovered later, even creased, is the dream telling you the preparation is delayed but not gone. A suitcase that never arrives, with the trip continuing without it, is the dream noting that you are now in the new place without what you had intended to bring, and the work is to find out which parts of the preparation you can do without and which ones the new situation will need anyway.
