The bones around the lungs and heart — the structural cage that protects what cannot be replaced.

A ribcage in a dream is the dream's image of the cage around the soft, irreplaceable organs. Ribs do not perform; they protect. The dream brings the ribcage when the question of how well your interior life is currently being protected is alive — by good boundaries, by trustworthy people, by your own habits. An intact ribcage is the dream telling you the protection is in place and the soft organs are safe.
