A discrete leap — a decision made all at once.
Jumping in a dream is the dictionary's image of a decision made all at once. Unlike climbing, the jump cannot be undone mid-air. The dream tends to appear around decisions that you have actually already made but have not yet acted on — the jump is the dream rehearsing the moment of commitment.
