Sleeping Hallway in dreams

A passage between rooms — neither destination nor departure, but the space of transition.

Sleeping in the dream means the symbol is present but dormant. The base reading still applies, but it is not active right now — sometimes the dream is asking whether you want to wake it up.

A hallway in a dream is the dream's image of the in-between space — the part of the house that is not a room, just a way of getting from one to another. The dream brings the hallway when you are between phases of your life and are not currently in any of them. A bright, well-kept hallway is the dream telling you the transition is being passed through with grace; the moment between rooms is not anxious. A long, dim hallway with closed doors is the dream noting that you have been in transition longer than is comfortable, and the rooms that should have opened on either side have not.
