Sleeping Forest in dreams

The unconscious in landscape form — large, alive, and easy to get lost in.

Sleeping in the dream means the symbol is present but dormant. The base reading still applies, but it is not active right now — sometimes the dream is asking whether you want to wake it up.

A forest in a dream is the dictionary's image for the unconscious — but specifically the part of it that is full of life. A walk through a familiar forest is comfort with your own depth. Getting lost in a forest is the inverse — you have entered a part of yourself for which you have not yet learned the paths.

Finding a clearing in the forest is the dream's image of insight — a moment where the canopy opens and you see where you are.

Where you often see it. A forest entered without a clear path. A forest at night. The dream uses the forest for the unconscious in landscape form — large, alive, and easy to get lost in.

What it is not. A forest is not always threatening. The dictionary reads it as the alive layer below daily awareness.

Related in the dictionary. Read forest with tree, jungle (its denser cousin), and any scene where the path was not given.
