Executioner
A person whose job is to carry out a death sentence — an authority figure who completes the work the judge has only spoken.
An executioner in a dream is the dream's image of a figure who completes the work that the judge has only spoken. The executioner does not decide; the executioner does. The dream brings the executioner when something in your life — an ending, a removal, a final act on a verdict already handed down — has reached the stage where the talking is over and the act has to be carried out by someone. An executioner doing the work with the discipline that the office requires is the dream affirming that the ending is being carried out cleanly. An executioner refusing the office, with the sentence still standing and no one to enforce it, is the dream noting that the verdict has been made and no one in the room is willing to act on it, and the situation will go on in a half-dead form.
