Purple Door in dreams

An opportunity — open, closed, or the kind you have to choose to walk through.

Purple colour places the symbol between hot and cool — a reading that has both calm and intensity at once. The dream often uses purple for symbols that do not fit the usual categories cleanly. Take the reading more seriously than you would otherwise; the colour is asking you to.

An open door in a dream is an opportunity that is genuinely available. A closed but unlocked door is one you are pretending is closed. A locked door is one that needs more time, more preparation, or a key you do not yet have.

Multiple doors is a choice. Which one you reach for matters less than the act of reaching — the dream is checking whether you have stopped waiting to be invited.

A door knocking from the other side is something asking entry into your life. Watch what you do — opening the door is the active reading; pretending not to hear it is the avoidant one.

Where you often see it. A door newly opened. A door that has been locked behind you. A door you do not remember being in this house. The dream uses the door for an opportunity — open, closed, or the kind you have to choose to walk through.

What it is not. A door is not always promise. The dictionary reads it as the access-point the dreamer is being shown.
