Searching in a dream is the dictionary's image of looking for something. The dream often appears when you have been trying to find an answer, a person, a feeling, or an item; the dream stages the search literally.
Most dream searches end without finding the thing. The reading is usually that the thing has not yet been lost so much as not yet been recognised — it is in the room with you and you have not yet looked at it directly.
Where you often see it. Searching the house for something you cannot describe. Searching pockets that keep being empty. The dream uses searching for looking for something — usually within your own house.
What it is not. Searching is not always external. The dictionary reads it most often as the dreamer's inquiry into themselves.
